"Step into the heart, take up residence there. From this vantage point you will be shown the glory of the world." - Mary Magdalene
Known as the "Apostle to the Apostles," Saint Mary Magdalene is described as the one whom Jesus loved the most and is often considered to be the twin flame to Yeshua. Long portrayed as a fallen woman, in recent times she has become an increasingly beloved figure in spiritual circles—especially amongst women.
This is the third in a series of paintings of Mary Magdalene, created around sequential equinoxes beginning in the fall of 2022. It contains a multitude of symbolic references that the artist is still in the process of interpreting. However the major themes of the painting include receptivity to Spirit; becoming a vehicle or vessel for Divine love; sacrifice; and the concept of "seeing with the eyes of the heart."
